Wuyang-Honda E-VO is an Electric Motorcycle You Won't Find Stateside - TechEBlog

Jul 01, 2025

The Wuyang-Honda E-VO isn’t your typical Honda ride. Born from a team-up with Guangzhou Motorcycle Group’s Wuyang, this cafe racer-styled electric bike is built for China’s jam-packed city streets, not a worldwide tour—at least not yet. Unveiled at Beijing’s Shougang Park with a slogan of “Electric Motor and Intelligent Driving,” the E-VO mixes retro cool with modern electric zip.

Designed for urban explorers, the E-VO sports LED headlights, a two-tone body, and a raised windscreen. Suspension wise, its aluminum swingarm, paired with an inverted front fork and rear mono-shock, keeps the bike steady on all flat terrain. The bike tips the scales at 143 kg for the dual-battery setup or 157 kg with three batteries. Dual disc brakes with double-channel ABS make stopping in hectic traffic a breeze.

Technology wise, the E-VO is loaded with a digital dashboard, LED lights, and smartphone connectivity, though details are thin. Wuyang-Honda’s push for “intelligent driving” suggests it’s built for tech-savvy city folks, even if rider aids or fancy features are still under wraps. At roughly 2,800 euros ($3,000 USD) in China, it’s a steal compared to Western electric bikes, making it a tempting pick for budget-conscious riders. But for now, it’s China-only, leaving global fans crossing their fingers for a wider release.Wuyang-Honda, a partnership kicking since 1992, has churned out trusty scooters and small bikes for China, but the E-VO is their first crack at a “full-size” electric motorcycle. It’s not a pure Honda, despite the big logo, which has sparked some chatter. “The E-VO blends Honda’s global know-how with Wuyang’s local manufacturing muscle,” a Wuyang-Honda rep said, highlighting the collab’s strength. With “Wuyang” in fine print, the bike leans hard on Honda’s name to stand out in a crowded market.[Source]
